HIGHS AND LOWS - GIGS CANCELLED AFTER STORMING FESTIVAL

It's been a funny few weeks for the band as, after a storming weekend at the Rock n Bike Festival at Carnfield Hall, pictured above, the band have been laid low by a throat problem for singer John.

He is currently unable to hit the higher notes (no we won't do that to help him get there!) and, unless we do a set of Nick Cave covers, he is currently struggling.

We lost the Rowells gig in Long Eaton two weeks ago and, with no improvement with John's range, have reluctantly decided to cancel next weekend's shows at Oakfield Farm and Selston Jokers Club today to give the venues a chance to book replacements.

The weekend after is in the balance and a decision will be made on Monday by which time John is hoping to have been given better medical advice, having simply been told to wait two more weeks a fortnight ago and then call back.

He will also be very quiet and drink lots of water.

Over the years we have thankfully had to cancel very few shows at all – this is our worst ever period of time.

Fingers crossed we can solve the issue ASAP and get back rocking.

As previously mentioned, it was great to get back to Rock n Bike Festival last month after it was cancelled due to Covid the previous two years.

Thanks to all who got there early to see us start the party and also to all who bought some merch from us.

We have one more summer festival to play at Whitwell next month by which time we hope to be back at full throttle.

See you soon.
